Sunday Drift | Slow Nostalgic Lo Fi Tape Loops & Textured Atmosphere | #109

This session is built around a melodic loop distributed across two cassette decks and sent into the Soma Cosmos for its characteristic “digestive” treatment. I feel like I’m currently in a blue, dirty, nostalgic phase — and this piece clearly reflects that mood. While exploring scales on the Roland JU-06A over the loop, I later tuned a toy dulcimer and realized I had unintentionally drifted into something close to a Chinese pentatonic scale. It happened naturally, without intention. Once again, I prefer allowing the process to guide me rather than forcing direction.I rarely struggle to escape a “comfort zone.”I’m not trying to revolutionize anything — the music already exists and simply asks to be revealed with humility and respect. That recurring nostalgic feeling surfaces here again — like the melancholic ending of a Japanese animated series. I fully embrace these melodramatic explorations. It’s a space I’ve always felt at home in — whether through the music I listen to or the music I create. These colors resonate with my inner world, so I return to them naturally. Recorded live in a single take.Thank you for listening. Channel Statement: Slow melodic ambient improvisations shaped by imperfect loops, analog synths and lo-fi textures. Performed and recorded live in one take, using minimal, dawless setups built around instruments without complex menu diving. Guided by repetition, intuition and evolving textures. Often evoking nostalgia, stillness and introspection.
