Diwali is all about celebrations, family gatherings, get-togethers and delicious food! ❤️ But preparing a party spread doesn't always have to mean spending hours in the kitchen.
From crispy air-fried tortilla bites and creamy chana tartlets to fresh mango salsa, delicious dips, sweet treats and refreshing smoothies, this beautiful homemade Diwali party platter has something for everyone!
The best part is that we are also making the most of leftover bread and tortilla wraps, creating delicious snacks without unnecessary food waste.
Let's get started!
🪔 RECIPES & INGREDIENTS
1. WHOLEMEAL TORTILLA TART CASES WITH CORIANDER CHANA STUFFING
For the tart cases:
Wholemeal tortilla wraps (or leftover rotis)
A little oil for spraying and brushing
Cut the wraps into circles, place them inside lightly greased tart moulds, gently press down and air-fry at 190°C for approximately 5 minutes.
For the coriander chana stuffing:
1 tin ready-to-eat cooked chickpeas
1 handful fresh coriander leaves
1 inch ginger
2 green chillies
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp amchur powder
½ tsp chaat masala
¼ tsp black salt
Regular salt to taste
Few drops of lemon juice
1 tsp rapeseed oil
Blend the coriander, ginger, chillies and spices into a smooth puree. Warm the chickpeas in oil, add the coriander puree and combine well.
For garnishing:
Finely chopped onion
Pomegranate seeds
2. CRISPY TORTILLA NIBBLE
Leftover wholemeal tortilla wraps
Oil spray
Cut leftover tortilla pieces into bite-sized shapes, spray lightly with oil and air-fry until golden and crispy.
3. CHATPATA MASALA BREAD CRISPS
Leftover seeded bread slices
Kashmiri red chilli powder
Amchur powder
Chaat masala
Regular salt
Oil spray
Cut leftover bread into rustic pieces, spray with oil and air-fry until golden and crunchy. Season with all the spices and give them a good shake.

Green and red apples, cut into wedges
Jaggery powder
Cinnamon powder
Few drops of homemade desi ghee
Coat the apple wedges with jaggery and cinnamon powder, drizzle with ghee and air-fry at 190°C for approximately 5 minutes.
6. ORANGE & BANANA SMOOTHIE
Fresh oranges
1 banana
