African Food Systems Forum - ACEN Breakthrough Event Highlights

At the Africa Food Systems Forum 2026 in Kigali, ACEN hosted a Circular Conversation titled “Closing the Loop, Unlocking Circular Economic Opportunities.” This video captures some of the energy from the session: engaged participants, lively panel discussions and exhibitions of circular products developed by African SMEs. Entrepreneurs, food-system leaders, investors and policymakers explored how circular business models can turn overlooked resources into valuable products, reduce waste and operating costs, create jobs and open new revenue streams. The questions and contributions from the audience brought practical experience into the discussion and showed the growing interest in circular food systems across Africa.
