Business Advisory Group Workshop

Following the launch of the Business Advisory Group (BAG), we held our first workshop earlier this week at the Vintano Hotel, Lekki, Lagos to map out plans for the development of the Business Action Plan. BAG is a national collaboration that brings together businesses, government and civil society, to strengthen private sector engagement in the execution of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP). The workshop highlighted an important truth; nature is central to our economy and wellbeing, and businesses must be part of the solution. A thriving business cannot exist in a degraded environment. As Nigeria advances its biodiversity goals, the role of the private sector continues to grow in significance. This timely engagement marks an important step towards building a future where economic growth and nature can thrive together.
