Violin: M Narmadha Mridangam: Sherthalai R Ananthakrishnan This krithi describes the fourth avaraṇa (Manu Koṇa–14 triangles) of the Sri Chakra, the Sarva Saubhagya Dayaka Chakra, where the Divine Mother, as Tripuravasini and Sampradaya Yogini, is worshipped with eight Sakthis starting from Sarva Saṃkṣobhiṇi. The fourteen triangles (chaturdasa bhuvana) symbolize the fourteen worlds. Muthuswami Dikshidar hails Kamalambika as the golden-clad, camphor-fragrant Mother sister of Vishnu, Supreme Kameswari, daughter of the Himalayas, worshipped through the Hrim mantra, destroyer of evil, remover of Kali Yuga’s sins, and bestower of auspiciousness. Residing here, she sustains the worlds, upholds the Guru Guha tradition, wields bow and arrows, is adorned with vermilion, creates all beings, has rain-cloud-like tresses, and embodies pure consciousness and bliss . As Aparṇa, she performed severe penance without food or even fallen leaves; the praṇa is envisioned as a wild goose , symbolizing consciousness in motion. This avaraṇa’s Sakthi represents the grossest manifestation of energy (sthula sakthi) pervading the material worlds.
