It is located on the top of a small hill in Bhaktapur district. The main temple is relatively small but it is one of the most beautiful temples of Lord Ganesh in Nepal. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Ganesh and has great historical and cultural significance. This temple is located on the south hill of Bhaktapur. Surya Binayak Temple is one of the four popular shrines of Lord Ganesh in the Kathmandu Valley. The other shrines are Jal Binayak, Ashok Binayak and Chandra Binayak. Surya Binayak Temple is also known as the Temple of the Rising Sun and it is usually crowded here on Tuesdays. Ganesh is one of the most beloved Hindu deities.
