Somerset, New York Tornado Warned Supercell (9-2-26)

On September 2nd 2026 I did something I haven’t done in a long time. What is that you might ask? How about storm chasing in New York State! Yes, I took the trip up from Northeast ohio to Somerset, New York for today’s chase! The storm prediction center had the area across the western part of the state under an Enhanced risk for severe weather with all hazards on the table! During my drive up here about half way in I started second guessing myself if I should just turn around. Well I’m glad I kept it going cause this storm had beautiful structure on it.
