St. Paris/ Urbana, Ohio Tornado (8-15-26)

Saturday, August 15, 2026, started with Southwest Ohio under a Slight Risk for severe weather from the Storm Prediction Center. The primary concern was damaging winds, with a chance for a brief tornado. For much of the day, however, storms struggled to really get going. That changed around 8 PM. A storm began showing increasing signs of rotation as it moved east just north of U.S. 36 near the town of St. Paris, Ohio. The storm continued to strengthen and was eventually placed under a Tornado Warning. Shortly after that, I was in for a real treat that I absolutely was not expecting. The storm produced a tornado near St. Paris, Ohio, and I was able to capture the incredible moment on video! Hope y’all enjoy the video!
