Slow English podcast for A2–B1 learners. Mia goes to the busy Saturday market for tomatoes. She stands in line for twenty minutes, loses her place during a phone call, and gets it back thanks to a woman with a small wheeled cart. Then she reaches the front and sees the one sign she missed: "Cash only." The woman with the cart pays for her tomatoes and rolls away. "Find me. I'm here every other day." Then Ben tries a buy one get one free coffee deal at a self-checkout machine on a slow weekday morning. The machine charges him twice, then asks for a worker who isn't there. He says, "Sorry to bother you," to a stranger named Theo — and a few minutes later, Theo needs the same help from him. Two easy-going stories about lines, small kindnesses, and the strangers who step in. The conversation is spoken slowly and clearly, with full on-screen subtitles so you can read and listen together. You can play this episode while driving, cooking, commuting, or resting. If you miss a word, let it go and keep listening.
