Slow English podcast for A2–B1 learners. Mia takes a Saturday morning train to a little town by a lake. The board keeps changing — twenty minutes late, then forty, then ninety. She runs out of coffee, drinks a flower tea that is not her cup of tea, watches a man in a gray coat get worked up at the board, and trips over her own bag when the platform changes. And her roommate Dana never really left the parking lot.
Then Ben goes to the station to meet his sister Anna. Her train is stuck somewhere on the line, her phone runs out of battery, the platform changes twice, and Ben trips over a long dog leash. He kills time very badly — until someone taps him on the shoulder.
Two easy-going stories about long waits, delayed trains, and the people you meet while you wait. The conversation is spoken slowly and clearly, with full on-screen subtitles so you can read and listen together.
You can play this episode while driving, cooking, commuting, or resting. If you miss a word, let it go and keep listening. The useful phrases return in stories, examples, short conversations, and practice.
