No 3D chip, a slow link cable and a watch battery, so your Game Boy Advance faked it. It drew 3D one screen line at a time, let one console run a four-player Pokémon battle while the others just waited, and turned "random" into a formula that a dead battery can freeze. 🎧 Also available with Spanish audio: ⚙️ Settings → Audio track. A nostalgic tribute for everyone who grew up with a GBA (or watched over someone else's shoulder): why the purple plug made you the boss, what a Pokémon looks like as 100 bytes, how a dead clock battery makes Ruby and Sapphire predictable, and whether your save will survive 30 years. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Four Kids, Three Cables 03:12 The 3D That Didn't Exist 08:45 Four Game Boys, One Link 11:30 The Math Inside a Pokémon Battle 15:02 Will Your Save Survive 30 Years? 21:45 Why the Tricks Matter 📚 Key sources (all 76 sources are listed in the pinned comment) Nintendo of America — AGB Link Cable hookup (PDF) — https://csassets.nintendo.com/noaext/...
