What does my job in Chengdu actually involve? Come along for a workday with me, a single mom working in property leasing, sales, and after-sales service in China. I check on apartment renovations, show you serviced apartments and our company's hotel near Luxelakes, and share the everyday details between work: coffee, a very stubborn pomelo, and the scent of autumn osmanthus. I also talk about housing and schooling, why I chose to stay with my son after my divorce, and how holiday make-up workdays feel when I end up doing overtime on my day off. This was filmed on September 18. I reflect on the remembrance sirens and what war means for ordinary people. The siren heard in the video is a sound effect added afterward. I'm still getting to know Chengdu myself. This is my own experience of working and living here. Which part of everyday life in Chengdu would you like to see next? English subtitles are available through CC. Prices mentioned are approximate and reflect what I knew when filming; they are not current booking quotes.
