Track 05 — Pavilions of Victory In the 17th century, military victories were transformed into architecture at Topkapi Palace. During the reign of Sultan Murad IV, the Revan Pavilion and Baghdad Pavilion were built to commemorate major Ottoman campaigns. Rising within the Fourth Courtyard, these elegant structures became lasting symbols of imperial authority, victory and ceremonial power. Pavilions of Victory reflects that atmosphere through tanbur, ney, oud, kanun, kemenche, rebab, kudum and bendir, supported by deep strings and restrained cinematic percussion. The music is powerful and stately, focused on triumph and monumentality rather than battle. TOPKAPI PALACE | 550 Years of Music 10 instrumental chapters tracing the history of Topkapi Palace through music.
