Riftrose - Dance With The Dead (Official Lyric Video)

What if the person you lost never truly left? “Dance With The Dead” by Riftrose is a dark gothic story about love, loss, broken promises, and a connection that refuses to die. When the past comes back calling, the line between memory and haunting begins to disappear. The song follows two voices bound together by a promise of forever. He tried to bury the past, drown it in noise, and convince himself that he had escaped. But every room remembers. Every shadow knows his name. And somewhere beneath it all, she is still calling. As the story unfolds, the haunting becomes a confrontation. Old promises are remembered. Fear turns into confession. Regret becomes impossible to hide. And when he finally admits that he is afraid of losing her twice, the answer is devastating: “Forever is the punishment.” The music video imagery draws from the song's gothic world of candlelight, rain, photographs, empty rooms, awakened mirrors, ghosts, graves, broken bells, and a crimson sky. The dance becomes a symbol of their eternal connection — beautiful, tragic, and impossible to escape. Because sometimes love doesn't disappear when someone dies. Sometimes it becomes the ghost.
