Welcome back to African Village Family Life, where we share the beauty of authentic African village living, traditional Nigerian food, family bonding, everyday activities, and the rich cultural traditions of our people. ❤️🌿🇳🇬
In today’s video, we take you into another beautiful day in our African village, filled with household chores, traditional food preparation, family responsibilities, and the simple moments that make village life special.
The day begins with Edu tidying up and sweeping the family compound while Chisom washes his father’s clothes. Meanwhile, Chibuike sits down to do his school assignment, showing how everyone in the family has something important to do.
As the day progresses, Mum Ebere arrives, and Edu brings out the ingredients for preparing Jigbo Ncha, one of our traditional village delicacies. Before the cooking begins, Edu carefully washes the traditional wooden mortar and pestle, preparing them for the meal.
Mum Ebere joins in by pounding the pepper while Edu continues preparing the food. Mum Ebere also helps with the vegetables, and after Edu washes them, she cuts them for the meal. Chisom helps by cutting the onions, while Mum Ebere carefully picks and debones the fish to make it ready for cooking.
The compound is full of activity as Chibueze, Chibuike, and little Chidiogo remain around while the family works together. Soon, Olisa’s wife visits the compound to buy pap, giving us another glimpse into the everyday interactions and small businesses that are part of traditional village life.
Meanwhile, Chisom finishes washing the clothes and spreads them out to dry, while his younger brother packs away the clothes that had already been washed. Everyone continues with their responsibilities as Edu works to complete the special traditional meal.
Finally, the food is ready! The whole family gathers around the traditional mortar to enjoy Jigbo Ncha together. There is something truly special about sharing a home-cooked native meal with family, especially when it is prepared using traditional methods passed down through generations.
Just as the family is about to finish eating, Dad returns home. Shortly afterward, he leaves for the forest for a night hunting expedition, another part of the traditional rural lifestyle we share on this channel.
As evening settles in, Mum Ebere spends some time reading and responding to messages and comments from our wonderful YouTube community. We are always grateful for everyone who watches our videos, leaves encouraging comments, and supports African Village Family Life.
This is the beauty of authentic African village living: children learning responsibility, family members helping one another, traditional food being prepared with care, neighbours visiting, and everyone finding joy in the simple things of life.
