In this video, Roxie and I continue our journey along the South West Coast Path, tackling the stretch from Helford Passage across to Falmouth and onward to St Mawes.
Leaving the sheltered, tranquil waters of the Helford River behind, this leg blends scenic wooded creek paths with open coastal walking around Rosemullion Head, leading past Maenporth and Swanpool into the bustling maritime hub of Falmouth. From Falmouth, we take the passenger ferry across the Carrick Roads over to the Roseland Peninsula, landing at picturesque St Mawes beneath the watch of its historic Tudor castle. As always, this is an unvarnished look at the walk—capturing the physical reality of the trail, the ferries, the challenging terrain, and the breathtaking coastal views that make every mile worth it.
In this episode:
Starting out from Helford Passage and heading around Rosemullion Head towards Falmouth Bay.
Walking past Maenporth, Swanpool, and Gyllyngvase beaches before rounding Pendennis Point.
Catching the ferry across the Carrick Roads to arrive in beautiful St Mawes.
