A three-month-old leopard cub spends one night alone in South Africa's Sabi Sand, on the edge of Kruger National Park, while a clan of spotted hyenas follows its scent to the only tree it can climb. Every day, one young animal, one predator, and the odds it has to beat. This wildlife documentary follows one leopard cub, its mother and four hyenas through a single night: the scent on the wind, the run across open grass, the climb that hyenas cannot copy, and the long wait for dawn. In the Sabi Sand, biologists followed leopard mothers for 32 years; of every 100 cubs, about 37 lived to leave their mothers.
