Horsham Matters

In this episode of the Conversation Starter Podcast, Shirley Blanch and Tara Quinn speak to Rob Blaker from Horsham Matters. Horsham Matters supports people across Horsham District when life feels overwhelming, offering emergency food and a friendly face through 15 weekly foodbank sessions and its Hub on the Move, which visits surrounding villages. Its outreach team then walks alongside people with budgeting guidance, benefits checks, advocacy and referrals, helping them take steps toward a more stable future. The charity also runs two welcoming Connecting Cafés, where no one is turned away for lack of funds, and a thriving charity shop and online store selling pre-loved furniture, books, vinyl and more. The shop keeps essential items affordable, reduces waste and raises vital funds to support people through their hardest days.
