CSX Light Engines Meet Two NS Stacks, NS and CSX Freights Meet at Howell Wye

We arrive at Howell wye in ATL on a Sunday morning just as an NS stack is approaching. Not enough time to setup the drone so we shoot the head end power with the old reliable iPhone. As soon as we are ready along comes a second NS stack off the Greenville line, so up we go. Nothing sitting down at Jefferson street. On the CSX wye we have a pair of GP38-3's running light, waiting for the Greenville stack to clear. Nothing interesting going on over at Inman either. Once clear the GP's take off and we follow. We'll see them again later. Next we hear the sound of GE units approaching from the CSX yard, a freight, and from the other direction we have an NS combo freight with two Green Machines for power. Squealing wheels on all sides of us. Slow moving trains but at least there is some variety. The day is just getting started so I'll see you in the next one!
