Let what Seattle change into Middle Earth together. If you've been to Seattle before, than hosting maybe the 2nd largest Comic Con event in the US makes complete sense. If you walk around the neighborhoods or through any sky rise apartment complex, you'll see an astonishing amount of Star Wars or Lord of the Rings referenced door mats. It awesome and speaks on the mental stability of the city as a whole. What it really is, is it's raining for so much of the year, that people will go to extreme lengths to take their mind away from to great grey depression. ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con) is a wonderful day, for these fantasy doormat people to leave their apartment and join their fellow nerd community in the streets dressed as their favorite anything. People fly in. Every hotel room has been booked many months in advance. For a fantasy nerd, like myself (my jam is LOTR. I fit the stereotype) life is good.
