The next day, I packed my things at the Makonge campsite and left. I stopped at Shoprite, bought some supplies, and then left the town of Lubango. It was really nice. Clean. Organized. One of the better cities I have seen in Angola.
After riding about 20 kilometers, the town ended and the villages began. The transition is always sharp in Africa. One moment, shops and streetlights. The next, open land and small homes.
I ate the food I had bought for lunch. Nothing much happened on the ride. Just road, heat, and silence.
By evening, I reached a school and asked a teacher for a place to stay. He kindly agreed. I set up my tent on the school grounds, cooked food, ate, and slept.
A school again. The second time in Angola. Teachers here have shown me more hospitality than most hotels.
