Let’s Get Closer -   / simple_live_optimist   Hello, I'm Dmitry. Hundreds of miles of empty steppe and desert stretch in every direction. Some time ago, I noticed a small building here on a satellite map and decided to find it. On my first visit, I cleaned the abandoned house, repaired the roof, built a simple bed and table, and discovered a deep well nearby. Today I returned for Day 2. My goal is to turn this forgotten place into a real shelter for anyone who might one day need it. Out here, a simple roof and a source of water can make a huge difference. A traveler caught in a dust storm could hide inside. Someone running low on water could refill from the deep well. During freezing desert nights, the stove can provide warmth and protection from the cold. And with wolves and jackals roaming the surrounding steppe, having a solid place to spend the night can make this lonely landscape feel much safer. I continue cleaning, repairing, and improving the little house, slowly turning it into a place where a tired traveler could rest and recover. For me, it is also a chance to spend another day doing something useful in one of the most remote places I have ever explored.
