Message 15: The Spirit’s Work on and in the Believers (6)—the Transforming of the Sanctifying Spirit

THE SPIRIT WITH OUR SPIRIT Message 15: The Spirit’s Work on and in the Believers (6)—the Transforming of the Sanctifying Spirit The revelation of the Spirit in the Bible points to God’s desire to be received, experienced, and enjoyed by man. The revelation of the human spirit in the Bible points to the unique means whereby man can know and experience God. God is Spirit so that man can contact and receive Him, and man has a human spirit in order to contact and contain God. Through faith in Christ, our human spirit is born of the Holy Spirit, we are joined to the Lord as one spirit, and the Spirit witnesses with our spirit that we are the children of God. In this series of messages, Witness Lee presents a deep, enlightening, yet wonderfully practical view of the believers’ experience of God in the New Testament. By presenting a complete, scriptural view of both the divine Spirit and the human spirit, Witness Lee shows that genuine spiritual experience is not a matter of outward behavior or conformity to a set of rules and regulations. Rather, genuine spirituality comes from knowing the Spirit, who is with our human spirit. God’s desire to be received and enjoyed by His people can be realized only to the extent that we learn to walk according to the Spirit in our spirit.
