Submission or Surrender? Faith, Family, Power, and Sovereignty.

In this video, I unpack why submission is a red flag word, whether it is used within religion, marriage, family, or relationships between children and elders. Submission often asks people to override their own intelligence, agency, and inner knowing. It can create a dangerous power imbalance in which one person is expected to obey while another is given authority without accountability. I also explore the important difference between submission and surrender. Surrender cannot be commanded or demanded. It arises naturally when there is love, safety, trust, and genuine connection. True divinity does not force or frighten us. A healthy relationship does not demand obedience, and genuine respect does not have to be imposed. Whenever we are required to submit, we should be willing to ask: Who benefits from my submission? What happens if I question?
