Ramnami - The Community That Wrote Ram on Their Bodies | Short Film | Virtual Bharat Story #14

In Chhattisgarh, a community turned exclusion into an extraordinary expression of faith. For generations, the Ramnami have carried the name of Ram on their skin, lips, and hearts. Once denied entry to temples because of their caste, they made their own bodies their temples by tattooing the name of Ram onto their skin. Their story is one of devotion, resilience, identity, and a centuries-old struggle for dignity. Discover the remarkable story of the Ramnami community and their living spiritual tradition. 🎬 A film by Bharatbala Part of Virtual Bharat — 1,000 Stories of India, documenting India’s people, landscapes, cultural heritage, and untold stories.
