Completed on Hard Difficulty. Online. Played as Monica (Alyssa Type). Hotel? Apple Inn. Upon checking in at the Apple Inn, the survivors received nonexistent hospitality due to the undead guests roaming the corridors, early stages of lickers piercing their faces, and pesky crows swooping down on anyone daring to take the Ladder Route, striking outside the Inn’s metal walkway. Adding insult to injury, fire is spreading everywhere around them. It seemed the survivors could never catch a break, as misfortune closed in from every side and troubles relentlessly surrounded them. Nevertheless, they must endure it if they hope to extend their lives and escape this dreadful establishment. Time’s ticking, and so does the virus gauge as well! After that bursting explosion from the boiler room, your priority is to enter it and answer the fireman’s walkie talkie as they inform you to evacuate towards the hotel’s front lobby. From here, you face the first choice that shapes the scenario’s direction. While it doesn’t seem to affect the overall outcome, two routes are available to you: Route 1 – The Ladder Route (Floor 3): In this route, interact the ladder in the boiler room and climb up. This is where you can explore the leftovers of Floor 3, which I would discourage you from using this route as you’ll be facing two infected crows that charge at you while you shimmy along the hotel’s exterior walls, threatening to knock you off and send you plunging to your death. Unless you’re playing on Easy difficulty where the game outright spares you from the crow onslaught. Overall, that’s why I rarely use this route myself, so I can’t offer much help here. However, you can check a detailed guide that lists everything using the link below: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/554... (GameFAQs) Route 2 – The Ground Floor Route (Floor 1): In this route, open the door corresponding from the Apple Inn Square. Once done, make a dash towards Room 204 (Floor 2) through the end of the corridor’s stairs to identify which rooms have not lit up with red lights on the map (PS, not your in-game map, but the room’s portrait map of Europe). In this puzzle, several guest rooms in the hotel each display a painting representing a specific country along with its number. For example: In Floor 1…. Room 102 contains “No.1 Finland” Room 103 contains “No.2 Germany” Room 104 contains “No.3 England” Lastly, in Floor 2…. Room 202 contains “No.4 Spain” Therefore, all you need to do is lit up the whole map with the color of RED, so the countries or numbers that are not lit up must be switched to obtain the Gold Key that is unlocked inside the drawer underneath the small statue of the horseman. Afterwards, enter the lounge stairs and make it through Floor 3, then enter the Linen room beside you to memorize the Security Office’s passcode from a Guard’s Notebook to access the office by Floor 2’s corridor itself. Now, go to the opposite side of the office and browse the Northwest Passage 2 to enter the Owner’s Room, where you will need to push a box to descend onto the floor below (Floor 1). An important note, don’t forget to pick up the Guest List Copy that’s neatly stored on the shelf (0:13:32) as you are required to solve a small puzzle of opening a security box in Room 101, outside the area you’re in. Before that, unlock the Power Supply Room with the Gold Key and fill in the puzzle itself. This can be quite tricky in each difficulty, but you will get the hang of this sooner. With the Inn’s backup power activated, just enter Room 101 and read the Hotel Charge Breakdown scattered on the left bed of the room and compare the guest’s name of this room with the alphabet code from the Guest List Copy. In this video, I got A. Lowell, so the answer would be “BAE” here. This can differentiate with the other guests’ names, so take a look first beforehand. Holding the Silver Key, exit the room and unlock the corridor’s door from your right side and return to Room 306 (Floor 3) through the corridor’s stairs to unlock it and get the last key item, a Red Jewel to escape towards the Front Lobby. With this key item, backtrack to the Security Office and push the shelves first, then insert it on the sculpture’s bust. Congratulations, you have solved all the puzzles needed to escape the Inn. All that’s left is to deal with the Regis Licker Boss which can be infuriating at first as she can hit you after her cutscene appearance, giving you no room to breathe. However, if you’re playing as someone that can evade attacks through special actions like Jim, Yoko or Cindy, they would have the precise invincibility frames to not be injured by her, so you may get the upper hand to avoid her first attack and concentrate on where to shoot or hit her. As you defeat her, quickly exit the building and enjoy your character’s ending cutscene.
