In this vlog, we explore the historic Mrugagad Fort (मृगगड किल्ला), also commonly known as bhilv Fort. Perched strategically in the Raigad district near Khopoli, this compact hill fort once served as a vital watchtower keeping vigil over the historic Umbarkhind forest and trade passages connecting Konkan to the Deccan plateau. From the quiet base village of Bheliv, dense forest trails, rock-cut steps, to ancient water cisterns and panoramic views of Moradi Pinnacle, here is the complete trekking guide! 📍 Trek Facts & Route Details: • Location: Bheliv Village, Sudhagad Taluka, Raigad District, Maharashtra • Nearest Hubs: Khopoli (~30 km) | Pali (~22 km) • Base Village: Bheliv (भेलीव) • Elevation: ~1,750 ft (533 m) • Trek Difficulty: Easy to Moderate (Short steep patches with rock-cut steps) • Trek Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours one way from base village • Best Season: July to February (Lush green in monsoon, clear valley views in winter) 📌 Key Historical Attractions: • Ancient rock-cut water cisterns (पाण्याच्या टाक्या) • Rock cut Guha • Chimney Camb • Natural rock-cut steps & fortification remnants (तटबंदी) • Storage caves & defensive watch points • Breathtaking views of Moradi Pinnacle and the Umbarkhind valley 🎒 Trekker's Checklist: 1.
