Santoor Recital

On November 15th, 2025, the Indian Classical Music Circle of Dallas/Fort Worth hosted a beautiful santoor recital by Kunal Gunjal. The evening featured Ragas Jansamohini, Mishra Shivranjani, Jhinjhoti, and Pahadi, each unfolding with warmth and a strong traditional touch. Kunal’s detailed badhat and crisp taankaari shaped every raga with its own mood and emotional depth. On tabla, Amit Kavathekar added incredible support, and their musical exchange often felt like a conversation between two voices. This recital created a calm, immersive space for the entire audience, and it’s one that people here in DFW will remember for a long time.
