A day in the life of Mr. Creemee

This past summer, I spent a day filming behind the scenes at Mr. Creemee, a small ice cream and donut shop in Burlington, Vermont. This project was a particularly personal one for me. Back when the shop first opened under the name Little Gordo, I was part of its very first crew. Since then, I've moved on to pursue filmmaking, so getting the chance to return with a camera and document what goes into running the place felt like a bit of a full-circle moment. I followed owner Henry Mizrahi around on a typical Friday, capturing everything from making ice cream and donuts to the day-to-day work of keeping a small business running. What came out of it is a short documentary about the people, the process, and the care that goes into making something special.
