Sugunamule | Chakravakam | Thyagaraja | Vivek Sadasivam | Rama Navami

It's Rama Navami season! Here's a composition of Saint Thyagaraja on 'Sundara RaghuRama' in the aptly pleasing raga, Chakravakam. It is composed in Telugu. Thyagaraja asks Rama to manifest in front of him asking if what he is doing to attain the same (chanting his virtues) is enough. If you listen on to the end of the song, you will hear a neraval I quite enjoyed singing. I had the chance to share the stage with some senior musicians Vid. Nalina Mohan (violin), Vid. G S Nagaraj (mridangam), Vid. Vyasa Vittala (khanjira) and joined by Vid. A. Shivashankar (tambura) as part of Vani School's Ramanavami, 2024. Do listen and let me know how you liked it, and wish you a wonderful Rama Navami! Do subscribe to the channel for updates.
