Banish them ALL! ------------------------- Today's CDP features the debut of the Trirealm Rift archetype to my channel, a group of Psychic monsters of various Attributes, Levels, and ATK/DEF stats (hi Small World) that all love banishing cards face-down, then using your face-down banishment as a second deck. Leading the way is Trirealm Rift Darkness, their Level 8 boss that banishes the top 8 cards of your deck face-down on summon, then it gains effects, such as a Quick Effect to destroy a card on the field or to Skip the Draw Phase, based on how many total cards are banished face-down. This can quickly have a duel slide out of control for an opponent, especially once you factor in their other Quick Effects, such as that of Mad Tempest Trirealm Rift Ploutonion, which can shuffle a face-down banished Trirealm Rift monster into your Deck to shuffle a monster of the same Attribute back into the opponent's Deck. Enabling this strategy is their pair of Level 1 and Level 2 monsters, Trirealm Rift of Emptiness Gehenna which can add up to 2 face-down banished Trirealm Rift monsters back to hand, and Trirealm Rift of Sky Sheol which recovers 2 face-down banished Trirealm Rift S/Ts to hand. This enables you to reliably access both Trirealm Rift Gospel and Trirealm Rift Territory - Valvols, each of which lets you banish up to 5 cards from your GY face-down. With all of this banishment, there are a TON of unique interactions with standalone cards from the past that have never had a suitable home. For example, Chaos Greed is an amazing pick for this deck, since you can easily empty out your GY, giving you 3 copies of what is effective Pot of Greed for the archetype. Then there's Let's Go Together, which can banish the top 7 cards of your Deck face-down then force your opponent to banish 7 from their Deck or Extra Deck. You also have In Papa's Footsteps, giving you yet another way to banish cards from both GYs, and the tried-yet-true Gren Maju Da Eiza, which will gain absurd amounts of ATK. Oh, and Pot of Desires of course. But I didn't just stop at banishing face-down - I wanted to do other plays first, and so I turned to the Shining Sarcophagus engine. Shining Sarcophagus is a great small engine, offering access to a field nuke in Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction, consistent access to Dark Magician of Destruction via Dark Magician Girl the Magician's Apprentice, and a great way into The Zombie Vampire, a R8NK monster that can mill the top 4 cards of both players' decks to the GY, before summoning a milled monster. All of this is ideal for the Trirealm Rift strategy, as the first also gains ATK for each banished card, the second gives you access to The Gaze of Timaeus and Master of Chaos - to re-summon Trirealm Rift Darkness of course - and the third gets cards into the GY to later banish face-down. It's a win-win-win, and quite frankly, your opponent just won't know what hit them when you inadvertently banish some of their win conditions face-down. That's the ultimate goal of this deck - force the opponent to play differently and out of familiar territory, giving you the advantage over Banishment! ------------------------- Links: https://ygorganization.com/creative-d... - Creative Deck Archetype Archive of all of my builds https://spellbook.life/decks/quincymccoy - Living Repository of IRL deckbuilds Disclaimers & Requests: -YGOrganization is not currently affiliated with any online simulator and does not promote their use over any official platform. -If you are interested in seeing a specific archetype or strategy on my channel, or would like to request a future CDP, feel free to drop me a comment here, on any of my articles, or through our Discord.
