Jerry Rice Said ‘THIS IS THE YEAR’ — Now The 49ers Are A PERFECT 6-0!

Back in July, Jerry Lee Rice made a bold call about his old team: this is the year for the Niners. Three months later, San Francisco is a perfect 6-0, and Jerry Rice’s 49ers prediction suddenly looks a lot less like nostalgia. In this video, we go back to the night Rice apologized to the Faithful after the season ended in Seattle, and to the summer he openly doubted the roster before Mike Evans arrived. We break down the Week 5 win over the defending champion Seahawks, the dominant first half against Washington on Monday Night Football, and the moment the night almost slipped away after Evans went to the locker room. You’ll see why this win made the 49ers the winningest franchise in Monday Night Football history, why it landed on the same night Keena Turner entered the team’s Hall of Fame, and why Rice’s words from Lake Tahoe hit differently now. Then we look at what history says about 6-0 starts in San Francisco, and why Rice knows that history better than anyone. Is Jerry Rice right, and is this finally the year the 49ers end their 31-year Super Bowl drought? #JerryRice #49ers #ThisIsTheYear
