The YouTube algorithm doesn't want you to discover anything. It wants you to stay.I scraped 9,000 YouTube channels and mapped every connection between them — 26,161 paths in total. What came back isn't a recommendation system. It's a closed network of 68 self-contained subcultures, engineered to keep your attention circulating inside walls you never chose.83% of those paths never leave the network. There are 1,430 internal loops.
