Design Apps People Actually Love: UX for Beginners | Gen X Coder 7

Next: Part 8 →    • Turn Your Website Into a Phone App, No App...   Design apps people actually love: readable text, strong contrast, big buttons, and clear, kind words. We look at design through the lens of psychology (how people think, feel and behave), then give our Part 4 recipe website a full makeover: larger readable text, strong color contrast, clear labels and hints, big touch targets, keyboard and screen reader support, and friendly feedback. Along the way you'll write two small Python design tools: a color contrast checker that uses the WCAG formula, and an automatic page checker built on Python's HTML parser. Every file on screen is real and was tested. Gen X Coder is a free 9-part course for total beginners, powered by Arbor Technologies. Your guide's story: Sean Donelon is 52 and taught himself to code over more than 4,000 hours, starting with pen and paper. He built Arbor Technologies to help his mom and dad. If you've ever thought "I'm too old" or "I'm not a tech person," this series was made for you. New here?
