In a six-month trial of 120 adults over 65, a daily peanut butter added roughly 256 calories a day, and body weight did not change. So what does a daily spoon really do?
The honest answer is more specific than both the fear and the hype.
In this video we break down what researchers actually measured about #PeanutButter: what two tablespoons contain by USDA numbers, what trials found on weight and fullness, what pooled nut trials and huge cohort studies say about cholesterol and the heart, and what small studies found on blood sugar. We also cover how much is a sensible amount, why peanut butter itself is less studied than whole nuts, and the label, allergy, kidney and swallowing points worth knowing after 50. It is a helper food, not a treatment, and the big studies show associations, not proof.
