Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 23DEC2024

This morning's California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0540 MST (6 min. early with departure On Schedule). Ric had P42s #7 & #170 bring the 8-car train to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for passenger service to 11 detraining passengers and then 3 new fares boarded for the ride to the western slope of Colorado. After scheduled departure time was shown, Sam gave the high ball and on a clear signal Ric ramped up the amps to the traction motors moving the Zephyr west toward its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
