A Snow Leopard Moment & the Cutest Gray Foxes! Come along with us to the Big Bear Alpine Zoo!

A beautiful snow leopard interaction and the cutest gray foxes were the highlights of our visit to Big Bear Alpine Zoo! The foxes even inspired a stop at the gift shop so Stone could bring home a little gray fox of his own. 🦊 This wildlife rehabilitation zoo gives injured and orphaned animals a second chance, releasing about 90% of the animals brought in for rehabilitation back into the wild. Animals who can’t safely return have a permanent home here. Our visit felt a little bittersweet/beautiful to see these animals, but sad knowing some can’t return to the wild. Many were sleeping or tucked away in their hiding spots, which we couldn’t blame them for! We still got to see bears, eagles, owls, skunks, deer, and lots more as we explored together. Come along for a family day in Big Bear with Sacred Wild Family! Thank you for coming along with our Sacred Wild Family. Subscribe if you enjoy gentle family adventures, nature, travel, homeschooling, and learning new things together. 🎥 Want more from this part of our journey? Check out our “Take a Drive With Us” video on Patreon. In that episode we share our drive from San Simeon to Big Sur — including stops at Monastery Beach, Monterey Bay, and Fisherman’s Wharf, plus footage from another campground we visited first. You’ll even see how we handled Stone’s allergic reaction on the road.
