CANTALOUPE ISLAND (H. Hancock) for Solo Piano by Uwe Karcher

Time for some Herbie stuff - let´s go funky! I´ve always loved this tune and often played it in the 80ies & 90ies. I transcribed a lot Hancock stuff at that time to learn and use it in my fusion bands. Thought a Solo Piano version would fit well to my channel - quiet a challenge with no bass and drums in the back to push you. You will hear a lot of typical Herbie moves here - enjoy! BTW, you can find a great trio version of the tune on Herbie´s "Live in New York" album (1993). There is no official Solo Piano version (as far as I know). BTW, the transcription is finished!
