THE CHRISTMAS STORY ISN'T WHAT YOU THINK — HERE'S WHAT YOU'RE MISSING | Pastor Josh Howerton

What if the Christmas story you've heard your entire life is only part of the picture? We often imagine Christmas as peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly arranged — Mary, Joseph, the manger, the shepherds, the wise men, and a quiet night in Bethlehem. But when we return to Scripture, the story becomes much deeper. In this powerful biblical message, Josh Howerton examines common misconceptions surrounding the birth of Jesus and reveals why the real Christmas story points far beyond the manger. 🔥 In this message, you'll discover: 📖 What Scripture actually reveals about the birth of Jesus ⭐ Why some familiar Christmas traditions don't tell the whole story ⚔️ The spiritual battle surrounding Christ's arrival 🙏 Why the incarnation reveals the extraordinary humility of Jesus 🐑 How the imagery surrounding the manger points toward the Lamb of God ✝️ Why Christmas ultimately leads us toward the Cross Jesus did not simply enter the world to become part of a beautiful Christmas scene. He came on a rescue mission. The baby in the manger would become the Savior on the Cross. The Christmas story reminds us that God did not remain distant from our brokenness. Christ entered it, took on flesh, and ultimately gave His life so that sinners could receive forgiveness and eternal life. Maybe you've celebrated Christmas for years. Maybe you know the nativity scene by heart. But the most important question isn't simply whether you know the Christmas story. Do you understand why Jesus came? Look beyond the decorations. Look beyond the traditions. Look beyond the manger. The manger was pointing toward something greater.
