I set up shop at the Carnegie Library, catching a manifest and an intermodal. The manifest was short, but it was a bonanza for fallen flags: Missouri Pacfic, Chicago Northwestern, Chicago Heights, Terminal & Transfer RR, and the Chicago, St. Paul, and Omaha. What? MoPac and CNW are one thing, but CHTT and CMO? Blew me away! Went to Tipton, caught an empty grainer and the two daily manifest trains- 122 & 123. More fallen flags! A Wisconsin Central boxcar, and two Canadian National boxes with GTW and IC reporting marks. Crazy, but it was just two shows ago that I said how I never see CN predecessors in Indiana! Ha! Also, took a quick stop behind the Cargill facility in Tipton. The grain harvest is overflowing! Got lucky and found their 1950 SW1 switching the site! Over to Muncie for two local trains and a friendly conductor. Then Train 122 with another friendly conductor! Decided to chase that train to Elwood for some street running. Got lucky there too. It isn't easy to get ahead of the train on that stretch.
