Rev. Lonnie Jones: Jesus Walked the water

Here is the Late Rev. Lonnie James Jones Singing, "Jesus Walked the water". A song I wrote years ago, it was missed place somewhere in my small studio. I ran across it while cleaning several weeks ago. I heard the song many times before, as did my wife and many others, however, when I put the track on this time it seems to have a whole different sound and feel. Though I wrote and recorded the same song, it seems when Rev. Jones sang it you could literally see Peter struggling in the waters of the Galilee. I called my brother-in-law, Johnny Jones (his brother) he listened to it and quickly said, "we must put this out there". He indicated the track was different in some way, but he could not explain what the difference was...nor could I. I wrote the song simply as a song; Rev. Jones has taken it up a level and is telling the story, rather than just singing the song. This man has a powerful delivery and sings each verse with such conviction...I heard him say one time that, 'though these things happened in bible text, I believes they are all true'. We all miss this warrior and thank the lord that he passed our way and we had him near for a time...
