H. ROBINSON CLEAVER and his FAN CLUB - ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS 3/8 COMPTON ORGAN - 1939 *****

H. ROBINSON CLEAVER and his FAN CLUB (The Robinson Cleaver Radio Club). RALPH BARTLETT formed the fan club for Robbie early in 1938. This Parlophone 78rpm F.1420 (matrix number CE6981-3) was released in May 1939. In 1951 the club was renamed "THE ROBINSON CLEAVER THEATRE ORGAN CLUB" and in 1956 it became "THE THEATRE ORGAN CLUB". The club is still very much active. Robbie gave a wonderful performance at Compton Lodge in Sapcote, Leicestershire many years ago. We were lucky to have some great players perform at the Lodge including Ernest Broadbent, Ken Stroud, Doreen Chadwick, Ena Baga, and many more. Happy Days! Recording from the ComptonLodgeStudios Archive Collection.
