Vellum Never Looked This Good! | Metallic Ink + Spellbinders

Welcome back to Play Time in the Craft Room! This month I've been spending a little more time shopping my own craft room and giving some of my older supplies another chance to play. For today's project, I pulled out the Spellbinders January 2025 Small Die of the Month and paired it with vellum and Lisa Horton Crafts Cloud 9 Metallic Pigment Inks. The experiment for today was simple: What happens when you add metallic ink to vellum? I colored the vellum with several beautiful metallic shades and used it to create the dragonfly wings, body, flowers, and foliage. I paired the soft metallic colors with darker die-cut details to really bring out the delicate design. I love how the vellum still has that soft, translucent quality while the metallic inks add beautiful shimmer and color. And, as usual, I ended up making more than one version because I wanted to keep playing! This project was another reminder that sometimes you don't need something new—you just need to look at what you already have a little differently.
