Welcome to the Convoy 🐪 This session marks one of the first chapters of Hijaz Convoy a musical journey created by Special K (SY) and Omar Alkilani, where electronic music meets live instrumentation, Oriental melodies, Mediterranean influences, and the spirit of the desert. At the heart of this session is Omar’s live guitar, weaving through Special K’s electronic selections and creating a hybrid performance that moves freely between organic rhythms, deep electronic soundscapes, and melodies rooted in the cultures that inspire us. Hijaz Convoy was born from a simple idea: to create a moving musical journey without borders. From the Levant to the Arabian desert, across the Mediterranean and beyond, we explore the sounds, instruments, melodies, and stories that have travelled between cultures for generations, reimagining them through contemporary electronic music. Our convoy carries a message of love, peace, cultural connection, and freedom. ☮️💜 This session was recorded during our European journey in Hamburg, Germany, in collaboration with Kampnagel as part of Dub-Ke. It also became an important moment in the evolution of Hijaz Convoy. During this performance, many pieces of the project finally came together the sound, the chemistry, and the direction we had been searching for. What began as an experiment became a journey.
