Chris & Bruno Go Medieval Vanlifing! | Exploring Portchester Castle

Welcome back to Nowhere to Be! This time, I'm leaving the boat restoration behind for a day, jumping in the campervan with Bruno and heading off to explore Portchester Castle on the Hampshire coast. Three hours of wandering, exploring medieval history, enjoying the surroundings and generally doing what we fancy. Just me, Bruno, the van and a place I've decided I'd like to visit. And that's really what Nowhere to Be is about. After years of living around work, responsibilities and everyone else's timetable, I've chosen a different way of life. These days I live between my campervan and my old trimaran, Kraken, enjoying the freedom to explore, learn new things and spend my time doing what I love. Sometimes that's restoring a 45-year-old sailing boat. Sometimes it's wild camping, fishing or foraging. And sometimes it's taking Bruno to a castle and wondering what life was like hundreds of years ago. There's no grand expedition here. Just a day out enjoying the freedom to have nowhere to be.
