Stubby or full-size — which ratcheting screwdriver works better? Shop ZeroRunout builds: https://zerorunout.bigcartel.com In this video, I compare the compact stubby ratcheting driver with the new full-size ZeroRunout version built around PB Swiss handles, a Gedore silent ratchet mechanism, and Wiha precision chucks. These two sizes feel very different in actual use. The stubby is designed for tight spaces, fingertip control, and portability. Its short body makes it especially useful for automotive work, appliance repair, electronics, and other situations where a normal-length screwdriver becomes difficult to use. The full-size version takes a different approach. The larger PB Swiss handle gives you more leverage and allows you to drive primarily through your wrist and forearm, making it better suited to higher-torque work and general workshop use. In this video I compare: • Stubby vs full-size handle size • Grip and ergonomics • Fingertip control • Wrist and forearm operation • Torque and leverage • Performance in tight spaces • EDC portability • PB Swiss handle options • Gedore silent ratchet mechanism • Wiha 7148C / 7148CF precision chucks • Soft-touch vs transparent PB Swiss handles • Optional non-contact voltage-sensing configuration • Real-world operating differences The idea behind the full-size version was never to replace the stubby. The two designs complement each other. The stubby gives you compact size and precise fingertip control when space is limited. The full-size handle gives you more leverage, more torque, and a more conventional screwdriver feel when there is room to work. That difference becomes especially noticeable once the same ratchet concept is installed into handles with completely different proportions. Do not intentionally touch a live conductor with the metal section of the driver. ZeroRunout builds precision driver combinations around genuine tool components, with a focus on ergonomics, concentricity, machining accuracy, and practical everyday use.
