Psalm 27 Morning Prayer | The Lord Is My Light | Walk Without Fear Today

The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? This Psalm 27 morning prayer takes the fears that woke up with you and holds them, one by one, against the Light. Not the psalm of people with no fears — the psalm of people who learned where to put them. Walk without fear today. Pray along verse by verse as we receive the Lord as light, salvation, and the strength of our life (Psalm 27:1), narrow the heart down to David's "one thing" — dwelling in His house and beholding His beauty (27:4) — hide in His pavilion and stand on the rock (27:5), answer His invitation "Seek ye my face" (27:8), receive the promise for the abandoned — "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up" (27:10) — believe to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (27:13), and learn courageous waiting: "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart" (27:14).
