Lord, I Need You This Morning | Powerful Morning Prayer

Lord, I need You this morning. If that was your first honest thought today — you already started praying. This is not the failure of faith; it's the beginning of it. "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3). This powerful morning prayer prays the sentence underneath all your other prayers, all the way through, without dressing it up. Pray along as we reconnect to the Vine — "without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5) — name our needs one by one, receive "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9), cry out for the rock that is higher than I (Psalm 61:2), come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16), feel Him hold our right hand (Isaiah 41:13), and land where every falling saint has ever landed — "underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deuteronomy 33:27). With a special prayer for the strong one who carries everybody and never asks. Scripture quotations from the King James Version.
