Ich steh mit einem Fuß im Grabe: 1. Sinfonia, BWV 156 (piano transcription)

The morbidity of "I stand with one foot in the grave" is nowhere to be found in this prelude, one of Bach's masterpieces. Here I demonstrate the vast majority of the piece can be played on the piano without alteration, resulting in an accompanying hand movement that is typical of the Romantic Period, one hundred years after this piece was composed. ~~~~~~~~~~ Ich steh mit einem Fuß im Grabe, BWV 156 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) 1.
