One day, joy will be the heaviest thing these arms have ever held. There are burdens no one else can see. Prayers repeated through years of waiting. Dreams we are almost afraid to hope for again. Days when simply continuing to believe requires more strength than we thought we had. Perhaps you know that kind of weight. But the story God is writing is greater than the chapter you are living through today. You do not have to pretend the road has been easy. You do not have to hide the places where life has wounded you. Jesus knows every tear, every unanswered prayer, and every step you took when you could barely see the way ahead. And His promise remains. ROMANS 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” The suffering is real, but it is not the measure of what God has prepared. The waiting may be long, but it cannot make His love less faithful. Sometimes joy begins quietly, long before the circumstances change. A little peace where there was fear. A reason to smile before the answer arrives. The strength to welcome another morning because we know Who walks beside us. “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” A PRAYER: Dear Jesus, You know the weight I carry, even the things I have never found the words to explain. You know the prayers I have whispered again and again, the years I wish had been different, and the moments when my faith has felt so small. Please meet me where I am today. Give me courage for the road ahead and peace for the things I cannot change. Help me recognize Your kindness in ordinary moments, even while I am still waiting for answers. When I begin to measure my future by the pain of my past, remind me that Your promises are greater. Teach me to trust You without needing to understand everything. And above every blessing I hope to receive, let my greatest desire be to know You more deeply and one day see You face to face. Until then, hold my heart close to Yours. Amen. If someone you love is carrying a heavy season, consider sharing this message with them. You are also welcome to leave a prayer request in the comments, so we can lift one another up in faith. May the hope of Jesus remain with you, wherever you are on the road today. --- THE WEIGHT OF JOY — FULL LYRICS I hear a celebration Far beyond the hills I know Like a thousand open windows Where the sweetest breezes blow I have known the weight of waiting I have walked through weary years But the joy that Jesus promised Is much greater than my fears And I don't have to hide The roads that left their marks on me For the hands that hold tomorrow Hold a place for me One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held More than all the years of sorrow More than words could ever tell Oh, the weight of joy Oh, the weight of glory All the hurt I carry now Will not be my final story Jesus, what You've promised me Is greater than this road One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held I can smile before the answer I can rise and greet the day Not because the road is easy But because You know the way There are wonders still awaiting There are mercies yet to see And the years that felt so heavy Are not all You've planned for me So I lift my eyes again To the love that cannot fail There's a glory up ahead That these troubles cannot steal One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held More than all the years of sorrow More than words could ever tell Oh, the weight of joy Oh, the weight of glory All the hurt I carry now Will not be my final story Jesus, what You've promised me Is greater than this road One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held Not one hard day is forever Not one wound can measure You There is more beyond the waiting There is life beyond this view And when I see You face to face When the long road falls behind All the joy I couldn't imagine Will be mine in Your light One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held All the glory You have promised Far beyond what words can tell Oh, the weight of joy Oh, the weight of glory Jesus, I will see Your face And Your love will fill my story Oh, the weight of joy More than I could ever know One day joy will be the heaviest Thing these arms have ever held More than I can hold More than I can know Jesus, there is joy ahead More than I can hold --- #ChristianMusic #GospelMusic #WorshipMusic #JesusChrist #Romans818 #TheWeightOfJoy
